Today marks 24 years since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States. The tragedy of that day continues to leave a profound impact on the hearts and lives of the American people — as vivid and heartbreaking now as it was that morning.
While we have yet to fully comprehend the magnitude of such horrific acts, and while the pain may never be erased, we can find solace in reflecting upon the remarkable acts of heroism witnessed around the world on that fateful day.
As the preeminent organization representing the Turkish-American community, the Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA) honors the memory of all those who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks and extends its deepest sympathies to their families, friends, and loved ones.
